Area Dressage Competition - National and L & SE Qualifiers 16.07.11
It was a wet start to the dressage and continued to be wet most of the day. However the rain did not deter our RDRC members and we had some excellent results. In class 1 & 3 (both Prelim 12) we had two teams. The blue team consisted of Veronica Neame, Caroline Green, Jane Cliff and Michelle Quinn and the yellow team was Kim Nye, Demelza Barnes, Suzanne Briance and Tristan Goodall. The blue team did fantastically, coming 1st in both classes and qualifying for the National (held in Lincolnshire during September). RDRC's yellow team did very well and came 3rd in both classes. So we have both teams through to the London & South East Championship. To see the scores for Class 1, click here. The Rudgwick Blue team also competed in Class 2, the National Riding Test section, and were obviously on a winning streak, as they won again, qualifying for L&SE. To see the scores, click here. Then Class 4, consisted of the combined RT11 results for Jane Cliff (70.50%) & Michelle Quinn (60.50%) and Mel Donaldson's 71.05% for RT13. Their combined score earned them a 1st and they qualified for the Nationals. To see the scores click here. The team for Class 5, the National Senior Open Dressage was Tristan Goodal and Lizzie Noon competing at Novice level and Mel Donaldson at Elementary. Lucy got the top score on the Novice 34 on Moreton Hall Blue who was written off as lame last year but has now recovered and back on form with a fantastic 75.83% . Overall the team came 4th but were minus a team member. To find out individual scores, click here. So despite the wet weather it was a fantastic day for RDRC – we will hopefully have teams going to the Nationals and to L&SE. Thank you to everyone involved!
